Has anyone used stickers to decorate their envelopes? I am getting more creative with my letter writing but I am afraid to do this. I guess I could call the prison~ Corcoran SATF~ but its much eaiser to ask you guys!

I used stickers back in '96!! LOL That was the last time!! I wouldn't chance it. You can't even send cards anymore with a little bit of glitter on the outside of card.
Hi Kreepsgirl
A couple months ago I called SATF and was told that stickers are not allowed on inmate mail. I didn't specifically ask about envelopes. But the funny thing is that I've been sending letters with small stickers since April because my PenPal Edward said that small stickers are okay. He's gotten all my letters with the stickers still attached! The only exception is that one time I attached a pretty big sticker (2" x 3") and the mailroom staff removed that sticker from the letter. But other than that no problems.
A new thing I'm trying is rub-off transfers. They are mostly used for scrapbooking I think. They look just like stickers, too.
Before I knew the drill about mail I put a sticker on an envelope and he did get it. But since talking to the mail sgt. at Wasco (he sounded really tough!) I haven't chanced it anymore. I don't even put sticker return address labels anymore, but I do use gel pens cause so many ladies here say it's okay.
Once I sent a letter with this really shimmery red glitter pen that apparently left glitter all over his hands and anywhere he touched on his face and the guys were teasing him a little (kind-heartedly, or so he made it sound!) I'm more careful with that now, too!
