Since we've been having some more discussion about Tele-Net and various and sundry concerns lately, I just want to urge anyone who's been considering checking into Tele-Net's services to do so, and if you have any concerns contact Richard (golf_buddy) or give him a call! What a WONDERFUL service!! As you all who have been reading know I was a little wary and unsure of some things about it, but Richard has addressed ALL of my concerns (and relieved them as well) and I'm a believer now, I'm a big Tele-Net fan and I'm not even a customer yet (still waiting on the credit check, but even if I can't get service right now I'm still a big fan)!
I think we all, having gone through all the crap we do getting screwed by the various DOCs over and over again, tend to be a little wary of anything that looks "too good to be true", but I am a firm believer now that this service is both good AND true... a company that cares about folks like us for a change! These folks really go the extra mile to do what they can to help both customers and potential customers, and I feel confident now that even if I do run into any DOC-related headaches using Tele-Net, these folks are there to help work things out if possible.
No kidding, folks, I'm of the opinion that Tele-Net is actually on OUR side for a change and it's really great to have found a company that wants to help people like us and is not out to suck every penny from our wallets (like our friends the DOC). Thanks to Richard for coming to bat with all the great info and addressing of concerns for me. Talk about excellence in customer service, folks, this is it!!
Anyway, since I was one of the loudest lately in voicing concerns, I just wanted to make a new post and urge anyone who'd been considering Tele-Net but just wasn't sure to give them a call - it really is worth checking into!!!

Ohhh Lys that is WONDERFUL!!! I know 1st hand what an awesome thing they have going!! I did get another phone bill from SBC that I forgot I would get but heck all together they TOTAL 170.00 and and that was for a call every single day
31 calls!!!

I have even better news today!! I WAS APPROVED!!! Yee-ha! I'm sending that application back in pronto now and getting this show on the road! Y'all may not see me here as much 'cos I may be on the PHONE all the time! Yippee!
Seriously, anyone who is concerned about losing the application fee due to possible negative credit, get in touch with Richard first & he'll check it out for you. I have a SUCKY credit rating and if I got approved for the service, anyone can!!

PS I figured up that for the same amount of money I paid for TWELVE lousy calls in December, with my Tele-Net quote I can pay the same amount of money for about FIFTY calls. Yay!

Totally thanks to you, Susan, I thought to change my voice mail greeting too... my kitten chewed up the AC cord to my answering machine a while back and I started using BellSouth's VM service instead, but I had it set on the automated outgoing greeting (which says my phone number)... so glad you posted what you did about changing your machine a while back!!!

He told me that he couldn't do it in Michigan. They had had a few customers in Michigan and had quit serving them as they couldn't.....It had to do with calls from Michigan prisons. You would have to contact him and ask him what about if the calls were going from a Michigan prison to a different state.
And, please, if he says they're doing Michigan now---please let me know. If I can finally save $ I'm going for it.
