I am glad that this forum has started. I have struggled for a long time about my spiritual faith, have many questions, and would like a place to just "discuss", not argue abouts thoughts and feelings.
I do have a question now....I have read that services on Death Row are no longer allowed. Why? Of course, my thoughts are about the Christian God, but I know there are other faiths...however, why would the system who has men they are going to execute, not give them a chance to make peace within themselves, with their victims, etc. I just don't understand this.
Now, I have another question and since this relates to God, I thought I would put it here. Does anyone know how to contact the chaplain at Polunsky?
there is suppost to be one at every unit.. I will call chaplin drum tomorrow and find out who if any one is the chaplin at polansky.. Then I will let you know... Maybe he can get me a list of them all.. They way we can post it and everyone who has a loved one in texas will have access..

We all have our doubts at times, but I have found so many differenc occasions, that my strength has come from God. I am a Christian believer and I believe that God gave his only son, Jesus Christ, to die for us and our mistakes and sins. We are all sinners and probably will continue to be all our lives because We are not Jesus. He was the only perfect man that has ever walked the Earth. He was crusified in order that we may return to our home in Heaven to live with our Heavenly Father.
No matter what religion you choose to go into, pick one and learn all you can about it. Ask questions and receive answers until you feel comfortable about what you are learning. If the first one does not work for you, then change and go to another.
I would never have made it through the last 20 years of my life, had I not found my Spriitual Side. I was a Wild Child in my youth. Loved to Party etc. Still like to party but can't do it as often as I used to. The one thing that I really do try to do, is to treat all people as Human Beings. I try to show love to all. Sometimes that is a hard task but I know that is the way we should treat others.
Remember, Look for a Church, Attend regularly, Take Classes about the religion, Pray, Ask Questions, receive answers, then make up your own mind about how you feel.
My Love
Donna
