Exclamation need help with unblocking prison phone calls

The other day I was so excited when my honey called that I accidently pushed the wrong button and instead of connecting us it blocked prison calls completely!! I was so frustrated! I know my line accepts other collect calls so how do I go about unblocking the prison block?? I once had to call a certain # but I lost it!!! If anyone knows of anyway of unblocking it please help me out!!!

Monika,

I have no idea, but maybe you should call your phone company or the prison phone company. Maybe if they can't unblock themselves, they will be able to give you this # you lost.
I can understand how frustrated you can be, so I wish you good luck !!!
All the best

I think you should call the server--if you don't have the number the prison should be able to give it to you or the phone co.-good luck!

You don't want to call the phone vendor, because when that happens it is done within the prison usually. Call the prison ask for the office in charge of the phones. Talk with them explain to them what happened.
if that doesn't work then you will need to call the vendor and talk with them.
Some facilitys take care of just the blocking part, yet others leave it up to the vendors.

well I called the phone company and they gave me a phone number that deals with correctional phones so hopefully that will work! I'll update everyone and post the number here so in case anyone else has a blonde moment like I did can get out of this jam!

Mci will have your line unblocked in 72 hours...NEVER ever believe when they say tonight...it's a 72 hour timespan that they should be giving you...

Technicians that handle programming (provisioning as they call it) of lines are not on 24/7 unfortunatly If the call comes through, you're one of the few lucky ones...MCI took nearly 2 weeks to get my block removed because they couldn't find it...they kept sending me to T-Netix and the don't handle those calls...

GOOD LUCK!

HOW ABOUT T-NETIX 1-888-610-7079. THEY DEAL WITH TAKEN THE BLOCK OFF BUT THEY HAVE TO DEAL WITH YOUR CORRECTIONAL FACILITY. THE HOLD IS VERY LONG SO GET SOME CHIPS AND A GOOD BOOK. GOOD LUCK.

IF THEY DONT DEAL WITH THE JAIL. CALL THE JAIL AND FIND OUT WHAT PHONE COMPANY THEY DEAL WITH.

Wink Unblocking your call

Hello, In California MCI controls all of the prison phone calls. You must call them first and tell them to unblock your phone so you can continue to accept collect calls from prisons. I think there is a special number you call. My husband has it if you can't get it I will ask him........Smile.

Monika, just for a future reference, those facilities and state's which use MCI have there own office in each state for MCI correctional calls.

You can call MCI and ask for the number for your state's DOC correctional calls service. This way, if you have trouble in the future, you can call directly to your own state's service.

Does this make sense? LOL, if not, please pm me and I'll find out the number for you!

Pammie
