The mission of the Trumbull Correctional Institution is to protect Ohio citizens by the effective supervision of adult offenders in environments that are safe, humane and appropriately secure. In partnership with communities, the institution will promote citizen safety and victim reparation. Through rehabilitative programming, the institution seeks to instill in offenders an improved sense of responsibility and the ability to become law-abiding members of society.

Unique Programs
  • Trumbull Correctional Institution and the Animal Welfare League of Trumbull County has established a partnership call the Antles for Animals and Animal Welfare League. This program is designed to to save young dogs which are destined for euthanasia. Inmates receive the dogs who will be with them for a nine week training period. The dogs will learn basic obedience, socialization skills, house training and specific commands they will use once they are adopted by local families.
Visiting Hours
  • Wednesday through Sunday; 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
  • Alternating weekends; 1st and 3rd weekend - Block 12 & 13; 2nd and 4th weekend - Block 14 &15.
  • Closed on all state holidays.
Visiting hours are subject to change without notice. Please call the institution to verify visiting hours before planning a visit.
