Question Anyone Know About South Texas ISF In Houston? Texas Prison

Hi,
Anyone have a loved one at South Texas Intermediate Sanctions Facility, or did? How long they usually hold them there I was told from 2 to 6 months but I spoke with my baby's PO and he said there is a fast turn over because of the overcrowding of the TDC. So I just wondered if anyone there had someone there I was told the have aircondition and telephones but can they use the phone freely, what about visitation, anybody know I would appreciate any info at all. Thank you in advance.
Melody

Default How long in ISF?

I was wondering how long Melody's guy had to do in ISF? Is he still there? My guy was recently given ISF and am so happy for that. I have heard since there is a shortage of beds in all the ISF's that time may not be too long? Also I'm wondering what kind of conditions these places are in? I haven't been able to find very much information at all except for what I've read in this site.

Any additional information would be so helpful.

Thanks

I forgot to mention that my guy is currently at the Walls. Maybe this is a good sign since they let them out from here.?

Default Now he's in ISF unit in Houston-Is an IC application possible from here?

I certainly pick the right forum to start posting in. My guy was sent yesterday to South Texas ISF in Houston. I got my first phone call last night. I hadn't heard his voice in almost three months so it was wonderful. I got the quote on the phone call, no wonder there's a number of forum's on phone calls costs! Outrageous!! Anyway, he says he's going to have to be on a leg monitor when he gets out on parole, whenever that may be. I still won't be able to see him though because he'll be release to West Texas and I live in AZ. He says he won't be able to apply for Interstate Compact until he's released on Parole. Does anyone know if that's correct or not? I thought I had seen where you they can apply no more than 120 from release date. My guy says not to believe everything I read, so I'm hoping someone here, has an answer based on experience.

Thanks

Hello everyone! My boyfriend got sentenced almost 37 days ago and he still hasn't caught the chain. Everytime I go to visit I get nervous about him being gone. I also heard that since TDC is full that they are sending inmates to ISF. My boyfriend is at harris county so is there a chance he will go to the ISF in downtown? If anyone can help it would be appreciated! Thanks!

Hey, can anyone tell me about the isf in downtown Houston? With the Hurricane Rita heading that way and the evacuation of the Astrodome, My brother in law is there and my sister is concerned about his safety.

We just found out yesterday my boyfriend is being sent to SOuth Texas ISF, hopefully this week. Have no freaking clue how long he will be there or when i can visit. It is stressing me out, especially since his PO recommended he be released so we though that's what would happen. And I'm due May 28. I really need some info about how long he will be there!
