Talking PTOQ Poll - Just for fun - Xmas Employment

You land a new job in a shopping mall "Winter Wonderland". The kids are lining up to see Santa. Which position will be yours?

Are you a budding Father (or Mama) Christmas?
Have you got a shiny, red nose?
Is this time of year just a load of "humbug"?

Take our fun poll and have your say.
Results to be published in the Winter Edition of PTO Quarterly.

We all secretly want to be Faeries!

I guess I am Santa, too, because I am where the goods come from...

Sorry Dakini but I am a fairy with my rainbow flag 24/7/365!!!! So I am The Grinch. I HATE HATE HATE Xmas.

I hate the hypocrisy of it all, the cost, the present giving, the turkey , Xmas work do's, putting up the decs, and then taking them down again, wrapping, that I'm ill every year probably because of the stress of pretending I'm up for it all.

and breathe......

I guess because I usually have to work on Christmas, and I am not a Christian, I have found a way to enjoy the things I like about the holiday and reject/dismiss the things I dont. We dont go overboard with decorating or gifts... and it is the one time of the year when I know that my whole family will be together, which is important to me. We never celebrate on the actual day because I am working, so I actually do some of my shopping online AFTER Chrismtas at the sale prices.

I'm with Mooshy.....I hate the hypocrisy, folks spending way more than they can afford to on others who expect every thing and appreciate nothing, putting up/taking down decorations, the advertising/marketing to children etc etc et al.

I haven't put up a Christmas tree in 12+ years...I set out a handful of knick knacks, but that's it.

There is way too much stress and expectations during the holiday season....no wonder 1/2 the population is depressed during this time of year

Christmas is a Christian holiday. I hate that our government and department stores are trying to make it a "non Christian" holiday. That isn't done with Hanuka (sp), which is a Jewish holiday. But aside from that, I just hate Christmas cause its another holiday that I can't have my man home with me.
