F.Y.I. Just wanted to let everyone know that if they are planning on visiting Corcoran 2 yard G is on lock down and as of today there is no visiting !! Make sure you call before you drive up there this weekend, phone number is 559-992-7100.
I visit at Old Corcoran B-yard. My hubby is in Ad-Seg right now, so I only get an hour visit. He will probably stay there for the rest of his time at Corcoran. I'm going up the 3rd for a one day trip and hopefully on the 10th and 11th, I'll stay the night in Corcoran.
Well I wasn't able to get an appt. for the 3rd but I did get an appt to visit on the 10th and 11th, since he's in ad seg. I did find out he is on A yard - finally got a letter!!
I'm staying over too, found a place in Tulare which was only a couple exits North of Corcoran.
Onesweetie - is it hard to figure out where I'm going once I get to the prison, as far as finding parking, etc. (I hate going to a new prison...what a pain). Also does anyone have the address to Old Corcoran? CDC website is down so I can't get it.
Thanks Onesweetie for all your help with my visiting questions too.

The address to the prison is 4001 King Avenue. Once you get into the prison it's not difficult to figure out where you are going. The guards at the shack give you a parking pass and direct you to the parking lot. Once you get in the processing area you go up to the front desk and ask for a visiting pass, fill it out then drop it in the box on the right side. Once you are processed, you walk through the gates and the yards are labeled.
I think I asked this question before....Corcoran I vs II......I drive from northern Ca. to CSP Corcoran, about 4hr ride. Now I think that is considered old Corcoran or Corcoran I......am I right? It would be great to ride-share, drive, cost of gas, etc. and would be more frequent visits also. Anyone going my way?
