The milestone credits are based on the length of the course. If I remember correctly, my husband received (4) weeks for the GED Program or it may have been 21 days. He just completed the 'Welding Program', not sure how many credits he's receiving for that. Plus he's taking the advance portion as well. I will inquire and let you know.

I'm not on here that often, but will definitely check and let you know what I find out.

Happy Friday!!!

Out of curiosity, who all can apply for these milestone credits when involved in programs like the ones you both mentioned?

Update so he heard from records he's getting two wks off for the GED prog and should get more time off for milestone credits & taking more tests for the ged prog....it'd be nice if he gets at least 4 wks up so I can send his dress outs n make arrangements to take off wrk n school to pick him up....anyways will post again when I hear/know more

Default milestones

Previously only 65 percenters and below could qualify for mestones and it was only a max of 8 weeks a yr. You can get them for passing ur ged, getting a low score and then a higher score on the casa test fakes two weeks off etx. my husband was not eligible but due to his higher percentage .... now that this stuff i guess passed sincd my husband is a non violent offender with that percentage time he wi now be eligible for them and it wi be retroactive for all of the ones he wouldve gotten before. Plus were hoping his percentGe drops too bc then hell be out mid of next yr!!!!

Ok, so my man took the casa test and improved his score, so im guessing he gets 2 wks?? Also, he heard from one teacher that 2nd strikers dont get milestones, but another teacher said he does. Can someone shed light on that? Hes taking a 2nd TABE test Wednesday and should improve his score so I hope he gets the credits. After 18 mths, that will put him getting out the 23th of December.
