Does anyone have any information about Michigan facility marriages? His ERD is 12/05 and we spoke of waiting to get married until he comes home but we truly feel in our hearts that we are already married so why not make it legal? This is neither our first marriage, but we are strong catholics that do not believe in the term divorce. We have set our minds that our marriage will not result in failure. I have a lot of questions and a lot of confusion on what can and cannot happen. I was told last night that we had to write a letter to the ARUS and tell him of our wishes to get married. In fact my soon-to-be husband has already done so. If any of you out there have any advice/suggestions, I would love to hear them. Thanks~ Lynn

I guess I was just trying to figure out what all is allowed etc... I know that he has a meeting with the chaplain as soon as his ARUS fills out the forms. I guess I just want opinions and suggestions from people who have dealt with this sort of thing. If you find anything out...yes please forward it my way... thanks.... What do you think about the marriage while in prison deal????

This is an old thread about marriage in Michigan... If you want marriage information for your state, you need to look in the thread that has the links to state marriages. If the information you are looking for isn't there, then try posting a query in your state forum.
