Talking The Kentucky Breathing Room

We all have those days when we're stressed, frazzled, at our wits end. Sometimes we need to take a step back...and just Breathe:

Turn on a little music:

Have a cup of tea or cocoa:

Watch the flames flicker in a warming fire:

...and just Breathe.

Pull the purple chair over in front of the fire, close your eyes and feel the warmth on your face....Breathe in slow and deep through your nose, out (s-l-o-w-l-y) through your mouth. Repeat as necessary. Oh! And the tea is decaf

This is really cool. I love it. And to have it right here where alot of us might need it. I know I do, especially after reading some really difficult posts where all you can do is hope and pray things work out. Saying I am sorry just doesn't seem to be adequate.
Thank you again so much.

I've needed to come here, sit back...and just breathe for a while. I'm glad I've made the time to come and enjoy the music, comfy chair, close my eyes and let the last few days melt away

Now i believe I can go crawl in the bed

Patch - I am sorry you are feeling so stressed. Life gets really complicated at times, doesn't it. I am sending warm thoughts and hugs your way. I really like this "room" and its atmosphere! Take good care of yourself. Hope we can get together soon (when life allows).

I just saw this room and it clicked. I am finally breathing! Over two years of worry, stress, loss, an ugly trial, the media and dealing with sentencing and then all the county jails, my son is at Roederer! He is so thankful that yesterday he went to church and they all prayed for the inmates still in county jails waiting for classification. I know I won't be able to see him over the holidays but that's ok. He has email now and he sent a pic. I feel like a weight has been lifted off my heart. I just need to remember one day at a time. If I think about 20 years, it will just bring us down. He can go outside to walk to church. He said when he got there he thought guards were going to be with him, so he didn't really listen to how to get to his dorm. They weren't with him. First time in over two years he could walk alone!

Lackingthepower - I am hoping that your stress level continues to decrease. Some of us have been here quite a while and have witnessed the changes with our loved ones. We may not post much but we are here and totally understand!! We have a chat room in which we may not post a lot but feel free to stop in and post. Someone is usually dropping by to check on everyone. We are a group of great people. Best wishes and Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to you and your family. Many blessings to you!

Patchouli, Sass, Jemison - Hoping you all have a great holiday season. Thinking of you all and miss every one of you!!

I definitely need this room. Iíve been meditating too. This isnít an easy life to live. When Iím in the moment during phone calls, writing letters, reading letters, emailing on JPay. However in those moments Iím not communicating sometimes it just hits me all at once. Sometimes I ride the wave , sometimes I crash.
