There are 2 motels in Corcoran. I stayed at what I was told was the "cleaner" of the 2...only once, and that was one too many times.

I now use the Motel 6 in Tulare. It is on 99 and only twenty-five minutes from the prison. I find it clean and comfortable, and the best price around for a safe, clean place. And if you reserve online, they give you a discount.
Beleive me, it is well worth the extra fifteen minutes of driving.

You can get both Corcoran motels' addresses & phone numbers from the www.cdc-info.com website under Visiting. Click on Corcoran. It's best to make reservations a week in advance, since both are usually booked every weekend.
The better one is the Country Inn, in my opinion
But as "crstdrvn" wrote, the better choice is Motel 6 in Tulare. I agree!

There are two motels in Corcoran. The Budget Hotel and the Corcoran Country Inn. I haven't been there since the end of March. My hubby's yard is on lockdown right now. Which prison are you headed to? Old or New Corcoran? I like both hotels. The rooms at the Corcoran Inn are better when you get queen beds. The Corcoran Inn is also cheaper; they had a prison discount last time I was there. Both motels have a fridge and micro in the room. There are some small places to eat(Mc Donald's; Taco Bell) and mini stores. Usually my friend and I drive about 20 miles to eat at Denny's or Applebee's. The number to the Corcoran Inn is (559) 992-5724. I'm sure that you can get the number to the other Hotel online or by calling 411.

Thank You Very Much Ladies! I'm Just Waiting For A Response On My Visiting Form. I've Been Trying To Visit For 2 Years And I Think I Have A Good Chance Of Being Approved This Time. I Met Ruben 2 Years Ago Thru Letters But Never Seen Him Once! We Are Over - Due... Big Time!

Well, I usually make it a one day trip, and its long, leave by 4am, get to the car line by 7:45 to go into Corcoran I by 8. Then I leave at 2:30 when visit is over and get home by 6:30. I did stay at the motel in town once and thought it was clean and ok, but pricey....may try the motel in Tulare, thanks for the info.....anyone interested in carpool from the Sac. area to Corcoran? I am mature and professional...would like to go more often to see my sweetie.
