Default Commissary Care Packages sent to Inmates?

I have a sister doing time and she told me that there is a website that we can look up to send her care packages... I have looked everywhere and I haven't found anything as of yet... Does anyone know of this? She is in Texas (Hobby Unit)... any information is greatly appreciated.

Default Care Packages

My son is in Coffield and he just informed me that the cost of the care package would come off his spending (commissary) account. Anyone know if this is correct?

I am under the impression that the outmate pays for it, and its an additional $50 that does not effect his commissary spending limits.

Check out THIS post. It's not supposed to, but we won't know for sure until it goes live, I guess!

Default Care Packages

Again today I was told by my son that yes we pay when we order. However the amount we pay will be deducted from what he is allowed to spend at commissary. If we order a $50. then $50. would be deducted from what he could spend that week.

Yeah but the care packages can only be sent once a quarter, so IF that is the case (deducted from commissary spend limit) it will only effect ONE week out of 12... so would be a good idea to get with him on WHEN to send it. I'm excited!!

My husband is Coffield and told me the same thing last week. I can't get any clarification if it does or doesn't. I know its not supposed to but that is what the inmates have been told at Coffield anyway!
