hi all, you know my g/f went to work release and had 3 mos left well we screwedi it up in the visit in g room and kelly lost about two months good time she also got a sexual misconduct ticket which i hear could result in another six months,
she also got sent bck to dwight,
im jus wondering at this point is there anything that can be done, can attorneys help defend tickets??????????
its sad to think that she may get more time for breaking a rule yet something legal than the illegal actions she did to getput away in the first place,
does anyone have any leads to an attorney who deals with inmates???
has anyone got time reduced by hiring such an attorney???
it's EXTREMELY difficult to fight IDOC on a ticket... even with an attorney... and in my research I found VERY few attorneys who had EVER dealt with inmate issues... and have even been told my attorney's they probably couldn't help...
you mention that "you screwed up in the visiting room..." Well, I am NOT judging my any means... and many here know that would be the pot calling the kettle black... But if there was justification for a ticket... it's DEFINITELY going to be hard to fight!! A "sexual misconduct" ticket can result in up to 6 months across the board-- seg, "C" grade, and loss of good time... you mention she lost 2 months of good time... that would seem to indicate the adjustment committee has already heard the ticket... so you would know all that she got... if it was just the transfer and 2 months of good time, I would consider you lucky... it could be far worse!! They could also strip her of other "priviledges" like a TV if she has one-- as any "incident" during visitation is also viewed as "abuse of priviledges" and you can get a ticket for that... They could also restrict visitation-- like not let you visit for 6 months or take her visits away... so if none of that happened... I would count your blessings and just learn a lesson from the experience!!
well sounds like there is some good news in your reply, you said there are few attorneys that work with inmates, that great because i only can afford one!,
so do you know there names or phone numbers? i would certainly appeciate any help, i would call them immediately, life is often hard, i think we let these (idoc) abuse our loved ones and dont put up enough of a fight, if we all did maybe wed have more power
