Hi Sammy,
As far as i know all prisons have these visits.. The inmate has to be eligible and married. No lifers can have these family visits. Although I hope that changes someday!

ALSO - No one with a sex crime can have conjugals (even if it had nothing to do with family)

Everybody pretty much said it. All the prisons have these visits, but you cannot get them if you have life, or sex or domestic charges.

What I know from past experience is that conjugal visits are possible with Husband/Wife, Brothers/Sisters, Mothers/Fathers and inmates children. They are with immediate family members only an the rules have changed "any inmate with violence of any kind" are not elgible. That really sucks becuz I have been on them with my brother and took his daughter so they could get to know each other. Well 25 years later he is still being denied Parole and isnt any closer to knowing his daughter or his Grand-Children. Ask me any question you want he has been in every institution in California except Pelican Bay an I dont know how he pulled that one off but he did.

*Its not wanting something we cant have...its keeping something we have!!*

As far as violence of any kind, that's not a blanket rule... there was a bill this year that would block ALL "violent" offenders but it never made it our of assembly. But they do need to be out of Close Custody.

I have experience with family visiting at Mule Creek and would be glad to help with any info you need or questions you have.
Everything I've seen here, I know to be correct. Restricions on who qualifies are many. One that hasn't been noted much is domestic violence. Even if it wasn't you, and even if he wan't convicted of it, disqualifies him for life. Even if you are his mother.

Default Inmate Family Council Committee

My husband and I are on the Inmate Family Council at CSAFT Corcoran - we are trying to build up the council. Right now there are only 6 of us on the concil we need 10 to establish a quorum. If anyone is interested when you
visit the prison, go to the desk and ask them to give you a application. Please send me notice, that you have done this, the prison does not want us to astablish the quorum. I have heard - talking to the visitors, that they said it is full - THIS IS NOT TRUE. -
THIS IS DIRECTLY FROM THE PRISON
According to the by-laws, we are supposed to have a 14 member council and 7 alternates. Due to absences and other vacancies, we have a total of 6 members. The officers are elected by a majority vote and this shall occur once a year in November. A majority vote consists of 10 members. Once we establish a full quorum of members, we will have an election.

Can anyone tell me how I can find information on the web about my uncle who is in Wasco State Prison. I need to find out what the charges are and what else, if anything, is pending. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have searched the various search engines but have not been able to come up with anything that does not cost.
