Default Fights and Lockdowns at Manci

Just got off the phone with my son. He said things in his building are getting crazy. Seems like lots of fights and are spending a lot of time being locked down this week. They did let them out for chow and he had to be quick to call, said he might have to end it early b/c of. He is itching to get out of a) the building and b) Manci all together. He said he's trying to spend as much time outside and away from the pod as possible. He isn't looking for problems but sometimes in situations like this trouble comes to you! I hope and pray he's able to steer clear. His review is in Sept and he's ready to go!

Keep ur head high and keep praying. My LO gets the hole for15 days on monday and i dont know if i can handle it. He was going through major withdraw and didnt know what was going on n got a ticket! He was hallucinating from going cold turkey off his perscribtion meds. Sent by squad to OSU for two weeks. Went back on monday to CRC finds out he got that ticket and 15 days in iso.....not fair. Hopefully ur son stays clear of trouble but its true it has a way of finding you.

My love is on his way there and I have a friend there, my friend said it was a stabbing there either last week or the week before. He also said it was rumored to be on lock down 21 hrs of the day. Idk what's going on but I hope it gets better soon!

There was a stabbing and a few fights in my babe's dorm at PCI this past week so they're getting rowdy there too. I just keep praying for all our loved ones to stay safe.

Reading these posts upset me beyond words because I want results. My LO is there, and I'm hearing the same things. Theres nothing I can do, is there any way I can contact the Warden or keep writing/emailing until he's transferred to a safer facility I mean what am I supposed to do just sit back and let this happen? NO I cannot do that. What should we do???? *Start a petition?*

PThats why this system is so f'd up. U can email/call a thousand ppl and its like pullibg teeth to get a response. There is a inmates civil rights agency in ohio. I know you can write them if your LO is mistreated. I dont know if anything will come of it but its worth a try...its called..oh shut let me look it up and ill post.

THANK YOU! I know i tried calling before and nothing was done. this is ashame we all have rights as human beings but they act like we as LO's aren't suppose to care, lock em up and forget about them like a caged" animal". I'll try and see..it doesn't hurt to try and express my concern.

Things are tightening up statewide in Ohio. The director of the ODRC has issued notices warning against gang activity and fighting. I feel this is possibly going to change the minds of those who continually cause trouble, however I worry about the innocent ones and those who are at risk for taking the fall for the real culprits. Ur right to tell him to steer clear of all trouble.

I told C that I won't tell him what to do and that I understand if he has to stand up for himself or for protection...but he's pretty good at avoiding a fight. I just worry cause lately, he's been a little more tense...his time getting to him, wanting to be here to be a daddy..
