Yes there are many that come without an underwire. Playtex makes them and so do bali and many other companies

Victoria Secret carries two of them that I love because they still give me the "push-up" affect and I am one of those women that needs it - I can't stand the sports bras that squash everything. They make them in white and black and are relatively inexpensive. You have to ask at the counter or can order them online.

Yep - I like underwire (big boobs! - 38 DD! Imagine when I get preg!) - but the underwire are uncomfrotable. While they make bra's for big boosomed women without an underwire, you still get more protection and lift with them. Victoria Secret, Target, Bali, and some other brands make UNDER - PLASTIC! Just like underwire, but with thick plactic that doesn't dig or stab you. They're pretty comfy. If I'm around the house, I wear either none, or underwire - or the tanks with the "shelf bra" - but if I need them UP for the day, I use the plastic underwires. They cost a little more than the underwires you buy at WalMart. I got my last ( a pretty pink one - I'm soooo glad that they're making pretty ones for bigger boobs, not just granny white!) at Target for $19.

The best bra I've owned in forever was bought on Ebay (new) - oaid $9 +$2 shipping. Love it.

Yes, they can use plastic.

Happy shopping!

Fredricks sells a couple of bras without underwires. My "visit" bra is a 10 dollar one from Wal Mart though. I figure I wear it only for visits, which is just once a month so it's good enough for me.

victorias secret used to sell one with plastic underwires, but they discontinued them. fredricks has a few that dont seem to go off in the metal detectors, but you have to realize, its not only the underwires. i ruined a $46 victorias secret bra because i ripped out the underwires, and the back hooks still set the detector off!!!

Yeah my favorite bra never sets the metal detector off eigther. Maybe its not the same-maybe it is?? Plastic underwire-thats great. I often find cute and un-expensive bras at K-Mart!! Yeah they come in all sorts of colors, with lace and all! I love the push-up bras-cause they make your boobs look bigger=and what lady doesnt want her boobs to look bigger?? :

I think the hooks on some victoria secret bras make the detector go off. I used to wear body by victoria underwires and the wire did not set it off, but the hooks did. I was looking at the bras the other day at Goody's and they had one with removable underwires. I thought it had to be just for us because who else would want to remove the underwire.

i have a maidenform. that goes off, too! i have to take it off when i go through the metal detector and then put it back on...yada, yada--pain in the butt!

i know they do make the bras without a wire but they probably don't have too much support. i am sure u can find one though, but be careful 'cuz even the prongy, latchy things on the back of the bras go off too, sometimes.
