Inmates working at a correctional unit's print shop in Vermont in the United States have succeeded in plastering a prank image of a pig onto the state police crest emblazoned on police cars, with over 30 cruisers sporting the design last year.....

I think it's pretty funny too. I bet some poor guy..or guys..are going to wind up getting in big trouble though. Maybe just this once the law enforcement side could lighten up and not take themselves so seriously.
Yes sometimes you see hope of a bit of sense of humour. I saw a number plate on a cop car over here which was HOG 996. Mind you the sense of humour could have been on the part of the car registration clerk who just saw that this plate was available and had an application to register a cop car and just couldn't help themselves
ok now THAT is funny, Becky.
Over here (at least in CA) alot of government vehicles dont have license plates. Simply have a number painted on the roof of the car and the hood/trunk area.
My Dad was a policeman, and he used to have all sorts of nick nacks with pigs, hogs, etc...
not a big thing (at least to him and many of his coworkers)
Over here they all have number plates and some wise guys reckon they can pick plain clothes cop cars by the letter sequences of the number plates because they are usually all registered in a big batch so they tend to have the same 3 letters. I just look for the extra aerial on the roof. Generally if there is more than one aerial and its a hot looking car then its a plain clothes highway patrol car. I drive a red GTI Golf (luv that car!). A while ago I was driving up the freeway when a black one the same pulled up next to me and the guy driving started eyeing my off and trying to get me to race him. I had cruise control on and I was comfortable the way I was on the speed limit and I don't have a penis which makes you want to respond to this type of thing so I ignored him. He sped off and about 20k up the road I saw the same car pulled up behind another hotted up car but this time he had a blue light on the roof which sure as hell hadn't been there before. I gave a little wave as I cruised past LOL
There is a downside though. When I first started driving it I used to wonder about all the cars that would slow down as soon as I drove anywhere near them....very irritating. Then we realised that they thought we were cops! We have toyed with the idea of having a sign on a stick we can wave out the window...."NOT COPS" .....
