Morning nighthawk thanks for the post.
I was wondering a couple of things and I thought I would share with you.

#1 Referring to Feb 8th writing, the guard that did the right thing by giving Paul a dry jumpsuit. I'm wondering why not praise the people who do right. I would like that man's (guard's) name and send him a thank you card. A sincere one. Maybe if some of us focus on the right people it might be some positive contagions stirred up.

I believe postive is stronger than negative. Dr. Bradshaw gave a good example. The entity you are in or working with is like a mobile. Each person is a piece of the mobile. Any time one piece (person ) is moved it also moves all the other pieces. It has to. Lets move some positve people.

#2 Idea: I work nights so I watch the talk shows. I believe it was on Montel he was doing a prison segment. He had a female x-inmate on. I wish I could remember the prison. This prison had a system that if anyone is put in retraints and gased/ pepper sprayed it has to be video recorded. This particular guard had it in with this women prisoner and harrassed to no end. She started calling out to the video camera when this jerk guard would rough her up, restrain her and spray her. SHe would call out "to who ever is watching this d.... thing stop this maniac" The tape is to be reviewed by the warden and another entity set up in the prison. The warden did hear her and started paying attention and realized that the guard was abusing her for no reason that he could see so that set up a sting on the guard. Long story a bit shorter the guard was arrested and convicted. The abuse on that women had been going on for a year.

My idea is lets contact some talk show. Maybe Montel. Exsposure in some way would be ground breaking.

I think you hit on a great idea!!!!!!!!!!! Use Polunsky Unit as an example. I have been wondering what could be done about them taking away the basics, arts and crafts and the most which I think a person on Death Row would need, Church Services. What would it hurt to have church services?

I think Montel would be a great choice. Any ideas on how to go about getting in contact?

Also, your idea about sending a thank you note to the guard is a good one. If anyone has the address, I will also send one. Or, maybe we could all post a thank you, someone print it out and send it to that person. Let them know that they are being watched.

Let me know what you guys are gonna do..I have been reading Paul's writings for a couple of weeks and really feel that we should recognize the problem going on over there...Strenght in numbers!!!

Hello yall,great idea!!! I never thought of a talk show.Before I posted this,I called my daughter in Boston,just happens,she is a media major,and has worked on the Ricki Lake show,and Montel Williams.She said,and I quote: let me make some calls! Hello yall,Well here is the poop.It is going to take some time if we want coverage by a real talk show,because they have to investigate first,whitch is fine.Dime a dozen talk shows are easy,Tonya said she can get Jerry Springer,I said PASS.But Montel or Ricki must investigate first.I am going to keep persueing (sp) this ,and will keep you all posted.God Bless............................................. ......Spencer

That is great! Let them investigate and the truth shall shine.
I agree this type of story is not Jerry Springer, and Morrey would be a close call. ALthough I watch Springer for my daily fix of disfunction. LOL
In my opinion this is certainly Montel. I hope it reveals all the little devils, skeletons, and ghosts in all the warden's closets.

Hey Spencer! I just wanted to tell you that in yesterday's Sunday paper the whole first section (and front page) was devoted to an inmate over at pollunsky..can't find the paper right now for his name...??.....anyway..there was not one mention about any of the conditions..just about his crime --I had expected to see something I guess not..but what I was thinking is that how can this guy get the paper to hear him and has Paul ever tried to get the issues heard that way..or is this something we should persue????

Great idea Amelia, I don't know a good investigative reporter in my area. Perhaps someone does. We could also take out an ad. Exspensive but possible.

Also I thought maybe we should all call the Montel show. At the end of the program they give 800 numbers if anybody has informatioon for a future show.

Bad girl posted an X prison guard story. Iwonder if we could include him in this. Maybe someone could call him for ideas?

ohhhhhhhhhh I have another idea. Lets infiltrate the guard academy. LOL
Anyone need a job? It is a four week training. I have 2 weeks vacation coming. I could record two weeks worth of "How to treat human like a field mouse 101".

Torrey you are hysterical!! I think that all calling the show would really help--annoy them til we are geard..haha! seriously they have to hear us if we wont go away!!

hi !

many people who are in any way involved with the prisoners on polunsky unit (friends, familys, activists etc.) have tried to get the medias attention - till today without any attention from them. so if you know anybody, please try to get them involved. i could get them in contact with some people in texas, who spend all their free time with those problems. they will for sure talk to the media.

about the camera - yes, everytime they have a "situation" with a prisoner, the camera is on. but often the camera stays out when the teams runs in a cell - nothing to see, or the guard with the camera only films the back of a guard.

in his last uncensored paul wrote that a guard told him that everything is on video this time - but where is anybody who really believes in a fair investigation ?

it could bring troubles to a nice guard to get mail from people involved with the prisoners. he could be seen as security risk and we would loose another nice guard.

Good point Sabine. Maybe we could use reverse psychology and send all the guards a Thank you for doing the right thing card? Let them think a little bit about knowing the world is watching their behavior. Sometimes when you are called on your behavior and actions rather right or wrong it makes you think about it.
