Default Ig anonymous tip line

I heard about this! My mind wonders as to
how helpful this will be though????? If in
the advent the family members/inmate
reports something. I guess what I am
saying is fear and concerns would still be
in the back of my mind with reporting.

I finally got to the bottom of why my husband was placed in A/C confinement. It was due to me calling the institution to complain on an officer that had been harassing my husband and cursing at him. As I was trying to ask question and the the Adm Lt cut me off to ask me who I was and what my husband's name was (very rudely) I told him to let me finish and I would let him know that. He hung up on me!

I never call the prison back, but found out that someone called the prison to anonymously let them know they needed to get an officer off the compound or he would get hurt. Well, unbeknownst to me, I called soon there after to complain about the same officer.

Long story short. I spoke with the Inspector's office who told me that they were not going to open a case, it was referred back to the security for case management. I called back and spoke with the Assistant Warden and boy did she give me and ear full!

She said "I may get in trouble for telling you this, you are the cause of your husband getting locked up". Family members like me wonder why our loved ones are harassed, it's due to us always calling to check up or ask questions. She said a lot of stuff, and I wrote it ALL down ( Thank God!) She said that he would not get a DR and would probably be released from confinement today. She proceeded to tell me how the officer I accused of harassing my husband was "one of the best she had on the compound, so it was in my best interest to back off!" She went off on this tangent on how the state was in a big financial bind and it how it was going to get worse, so I needed to chill out if I didn't want to bring anymore heat to my husband.

Tell me what you would take if you were just told that little bit of what I just laid out to you? I am in awe right now!

Alot of times corrections have major problems
dealing with friends, girlfriends & wives when
reporting issues. As there are always 2 sides
of every coin which is how they see it, and
being as though we are unable to see our
loved ones behavior behind close doors as
well as the officers it automatically gives them the
upper hand. I mean even when you look at how
some of the inmates were beaten and sprayed
to death it again is always the inmates fault.
It truly puts these men in uncompromising
circumstances even with trying to do clean time.
My buddies father got involved and got a lawyer.
They backed off, however he went thru pure hell
to the point of even missing meals to advoid a
certain officer. It was truly depressing for myself and
especially his brother whom he is very close with to watch.
He doesn't have alot of family support either other than
myself, his brother and father. His mother is deceased
and the distant realatives don't even send a card.
Out of sight, out of mind and the officers know that as well.

I pray all works out for you, and your loved one is alright.

My husband only has me and our kids ( we have six of the little brats) He is and has always been a strong person, too strong. A lot of people in there fear him, but they don't mess with him. I am in the process of getting legal help for the case we are appealing and I don't have the resources to fight the prison officials. I sometimes worry that he really will SNAP and that is not going to be good for anyone involved.

When the dust settles and the smokes clears, I am ( with the Lord's help) the only voice that can keep that man sane. I didn't know I had that much to do with his sanity, but that is what it is...........is just becomes frustrating...........the people who work at these institutions should take heed to what the family members have to say.

They had flyers posted up around the inmate phones when I used to work there, about 10 years ago, so believe it or not they had a form of this going on for a while. We, inmates and staff, use to call it the snitch line because usually people called it with made up stuff to get others they didn't like into trouble.

Wow that was in motion for a long time huh??

Exactly what my buddy told the
family about this so called tip line.
I can see with a system set up
that way alot of bogus things would
be reported. I hope some good comes out
of it for family members who are sincerely
concerned for their loved ones.
