Raising Children with Parents in PrisonFor the Parent left behind with children AND for the Children that have a parent inside. Discussion of unique challenges facing this group!
well I'm finally going to get to see my dad since the arraingment. I actually got to speak to him yesterday for a few minutes also. I'm nervous and anxious. I'm so angry with him but we only have an hour and I don't want to spend the entire time fighting with him. I also hate going to a new facility for the first time. At least in the State system, I somewhat knew what to expect every time John got moved but I know nothing about Federal. Meg (Brooklyn) has been really helpful, her husband is in the same place as my dad and on Sunday she even drove me over there so I knew exactly where it was.
Well wish me luck and I will post when I get back tomorrow!
I'm glad to hear that you're going to get to see him & I'm sure it helped to take the ride with Meg. That was really nice of you Meg! Well enjoy the visit Val and do let us know how it goes
I am glad you are going to see your father and I think if you are angry with him maybe take a little part of your visit to communicate your feelings to him but without fighting. It is good to here you have someone close to you --meg-that is helping you...you are in my thoughts and prayers!
