Do they usually stay smoke free when they get out or not really because it was forced on them?

I would say the answer to that is NO, they usually revert back to the same vices they had before entering. You have to really want to quit smoking on your own, and having it forced on you will not make you want to quit. I would say that it is not out of the question that they might come across some cigarettes while incarcerated. You would be suprised to know what they can obtain inside.

Darn. I would love to see my husband stop smoking and I am one to try to see that there will be something good out of my husband going to prison. I guess I will just have to wait and see. I am not at all surprised by what they can get in prison as many people have told me about how easy it is to get drugs and porn on the inside

My man has been in for 2 1/2 yrs & misses smoking every day! BUT, he wants me to try quitting so that we both can be smoke free when he gets out! He has also started an exercise regime to better his health . . . that would have been out of the question before he went in. So, maybe there is hope for you!

WOW.....that is good news. I would LOVE my husband to start making healthy choices in all aspects of his life. My hubby is super skinny now due to the drug use and now the prison food, but it would be great if he would desire to exercise to take care of his body better. Thanks for the hope. I will be praying that you have the strength and desire to stop smoking with your fella!
