Default MCI - scams & complaints

Hello everyone,

I have been scammed big time by MCI and I have created
an online petition that I would like to ask you to
sign. The URL is at the end of this document.

I will be turning a copy of this signed petition in
with my formal complaint that I am filing with the
California Public Utilities Commission.

Also, if you visit at a prison, please print this out,
gather as many signatures as possible, and please (I
will pay for postage) forward it to me at:

Political Injustice
530 Lawrence Expressway
Mail Box 392
Sunnyvale, CA 94085

Thank you so much for all your assistance. We need to
bring this issue to a head again, it seems all the
lawsuits in the world are not going to make MCI
conform to legal terms set by the previous lawsuits by
UCAN and the Prison Law Office.

Missouri uses MCI Worldcom, the rates are about $3.25/15
minutes. and they are about an hour away. Missouri gets a kickback from this money their raping us for...

I just recently heard that Worldcom is going belly up,
so MO has to find a new company. My sons were issued
a card with a pin # on it, so they can't use the phone if
they don't have a pin #

This is for Jan65270 in Missouri. Be thankful that you and the prisoner are both in Missouri. You have the cheapest collect calls in the nation. $3.25 for 15 min is great. The average 15 collect call is now $12 and it is going up each year.

Don't expect the State to drop MCI anytime soon. Even though they are in backrupcy the phones will not stop working. As much as I would like to see them put out of business I do not think it is likely. If things got really tough for Worldcom, MCI's parent, they would sell MCI.

My son had a friend of his leave me a message on my voice mail to say he could not get through/calling me collect because I "have a block on my phone preventing long distance collect calls"...wrong. I have no such block. I have other family members call collect from other areas. MCI is a scam for sure. I cannot afford to accept any collect calls, now that I know they do not go on my regularly billed long distance carrier bill....they are charged by whichever company the caller calls from. My son left messages on attempts to call me by borrowing another person's calling card etc for me to "remove the block". I can't remove it because even if my voicemail answers on a collect call [only works this way from jails and prisons], I got charged before. So maybe there *is* some sort of block. But I cannot afford to have it removed, if there is one, due to the way the scam operates!
