Default S.Q. marrages allowed

My fiance and I have been trying to get info on how the two of us could be married while he was in San Quentin State Prison but the only answer either of us gets is "you have to talk to his councelor". That would be all good if he had seen him but he has been there for 60 days now and no councelor has contacted him. He has put in two requests to see the councelor but no word yet.
If there is anyone who could help me with some info I would appreciate it, you can e-mail me at cowgirlup68now@aol.com. This is my fiance's first offence and neither of us knows what to expect so anything is better than nothing, right?
Thank you
Kim

Hi Kim. In the NY State facility my fiancé is in they are only allowed to see their counsellor quarterly (every 3 months). If San Quentin is the same then your fiancé has another month to go.

Gilly.
Rick (my fiance) has been in custodysince June 2002. He was sent to reception on August 12, 2002. From what I have been told he can be in reception anywhere from 30-90 days and within that time he will have contact with the councelor. The councelor is the person who determins where Rick will serve out the remaninder of his sentence. The thing is he hasn't even spoken with this person so he could request a compassinate transfer to be closer to his daughter who is only 7 months old.
He is also trying to find out if he can take parenting classes to help him enter back into the family with as little stress as can be. You see we have ou daughter and than I have my 11 year old and 9 year old as well. They love him to death and can't wait to see him, but to take them on a train ride for 175 miles than to wait in the waiting room until the visit and than the trip back would be hard on all of them. That is why we are hoping he will be transfered to one of the two prisons which are no farther than 40 miles from our home.
Thank You for the info
Kim

I have called San Quentin and requested to speak with Rick's councier but as of Friday I have not heard from that person. I have not given up and on Monday I will try again.
I guess my greatest fear is we will get everything set up so we can be married and than he will be transfered to a main yard. But nothing will stop our plans just delay them a bit.

Kim
