New Bill sitting on Governors's Desk?

Has anyone heard about the Bill that is sitting on the Governors desk that he may sign regarding cutting time on some inmates sentences, my husband said there was a report on CNN about it and he wanted me to send the information to him, could anyone help me with this please

Tim told me about that as well, but unfortunately he said he's pretty sure it's just a rumor. He said rumors of that nature have gone around over and over ever since he was originally locked up in 1999, but I sure hope for everyone's sake here that he's wrong.

MORNING EVERYONE,

WHAT THIS NEW BILL IS. i GUESS WHAT THERE TRYING TO DO IS GIVE EACH INMATE EITHER 2 OR 3 DAYS CREDIT FOR 1 DAY SERVED. I THINK THERE CALLING IT LIKE 3 FOR 1 DEAL. I DONT KNOW IF ITS A RUMOR OR NOT, BUT FROM WHAT I HAVE HEARD THEY ARE CONSIDERING IT BECAUSE OF THE OVER CROWDING IN ILLINOIS, AND CALIFORNIA PRISONS. I HOPE IT GOES INTO EFFECT TOO. LETS ALL KEEP OUR FINGERS CROSSED!

rumors as such go around VERY FREQUENTLY... although when these things are considered, 99% of the time it is for "non-violent offenders" only....

I have heard this rumor ever single year since 1997. They all say that it's on his desk and that they will sign it and it will be in effect by July. However, as you see, I am still here, and he is still there, so every year it was just that........RUMOR. I don't want to burst anyone's hopes. I just know how hard it is to keep believing this and then to find out it wasn't true. ANd no, it has never been referred to being put to use for the Class X felons! That is what we are in there for as well.

From what my husband told me, it is not a rumor the guys saw it on CNN saw it on television. And I believe more then 20 guys that it is true

Well If It's True It Will Clear Out Some People Really Quick. But They Really Need To Focus On Programs That Keep Them From Returning. If They Don't Do That, Then They Are Going To Continue Having An Overcrowding Problem.

I just wrote cnn and asked them if this information is true? Cherokee I think you should e-mail them because they want to know the date and the time that you saw it. As soon as I get there reply I'll let the pto family know.

thanks, i did the same thing i need to check my email to see if they sent me the information. my husband was going to write me and give me the dates that they saw it. thanks for your help
