When I went to school at Sam Houston I saw a guard with one arm in the training class. As well as people who had the biggest guts ever. TDCJ needs workers bad. Good luck.

My brother just graduated in October and he gave me the test at home as I am considering going in the summer once my daughter graduates, and I passed it with a current bone condition and being about 50 pounds still overweight. You should be fine...

Ha, too funny, Ive never seen guards as "Out of shape" as the ones they've been hiring over the last few years; I wouldn't worry about passing, they're hard up for employees so I cant see it being an issue for you.

Umm how to put this tactfully. When I just visited my fiancé,there were donuts, chips, candy on every desk i walked past and most of the guards were VERY overweight!

I have watched the co's walk in with their clear bags and mostly all you can see is candy, chips, donuts, soft drinks and junk. A few trim ones had water and fruit. I am assuming no weight restrictions! Anyone know if they can bring their lunch or just snacks?

If it'll fit in a gallon clear bag/tupperware bowl, you can bring it in.

One guy at Stiles thought it did. Tried to bring in a cell phone and marijuana in a bowl of fried rice.

I wonder how much he made before they ended up catching him.
