I've been reading up on this myself because my buddy in prison asked me to get a green dot account so he can "move money around". I read where thugs in prison use this as a way to extort money from those on the inside. Very unfortunate... the fact is these guys have nothing better to do except figure out how to get ahead and hurting others is not anything they have a problem with.

Are you being asked to get an account for someone in prison?

Phil

He could owe for debts, gambling, drugs whatever. Its a prepaid credit card, like a money order, so I guess it could be used to pay debts if you send one to someone else. Its seems to me that I would be wondering what he is involving himself with, that he would even mention this.

Very good advice I think. Like when we help a person with a drug addition
get drugs... it is really not helping them?

I got a couple of things to say here. First one. It is so horrible scare you clear down to your toes and your heart is pounding when a love one calls and says ' send money to so and so' I did that so many times, I could own a house in Beverly Hills now. It was not till I got here on PTO and lots and lots of people, in fact so many, that I finally had to believe them, that I finally said 'NO'. was I scared? you bet. Is my son OK? yes

Green Dot is turning into another scary word. Check out a web site called 'ripoff.com', I might not have that just right. Green dot might even be a mob run thing, I dont know, but something is way wrong there.

There is no way for one inmate to recieve money from another that is within the policy of the correctional facility. ALL so called "hustles" are violations of prison policy- if the money can't go on his legit books, it's fishy.
