Just wanted to share think like with you. I was getting bored with writing to boo on regular lined paper so I came up on this great website with some really neat stationary and many of the options allow you to create lines on them. If interested, http://multimediadesignbysandy.com/stationary.html I have a color printer and it comes out really really nice on it.

Maybe an interesting opportunity is to have no lines on your paper after your letter got finished but having lines while writing.
If you have a PC you can create easily a document, using MS-Word or Open-Office a paper with a number of line that have a certain distance to each other, that suits to your handwriting. Than, print this document on a piece of paper.
When you put this printed sheet under that piece of paper where you are going to write the letter, you can see the lines. Of course not as clear as on a paper with printed lines. But - still good enough to be a help for you.
I have written everything I had to write down when I was in the School in that way. And I think, that's not bad, as lines are not very helpful, they make more difficult to recognise the handwriting in a letter as if it comes without lines.
If you are totally helpless and if you don't know what you mean, I will send you such a line-sheet just for printing, just send me a PM or email me.
Great page.
Some time ago I made my own stationery too. He really loves Johnny Cash, Elvis Presley and all this retro stuff and finding stationery with such motifs is almost impossible. So I was looking for matching images on the internet and inserted them into a word document. You can also edit the images before anything else (f.e. blur the edges, color them black and white and so on and so on...).
He really liked these sheets of paper.

Thanks for all these great ideas! I will do some thinking and see what happens!

Hallmark has a computer program that can make cards and clip art it is a bit pricey but how many times have we been to a store and had to go through tons of cards that aren't close to what we want to say? The thing about the hallmark is you can change the text add stuff etc. I write 40 guys I have a phd in cheery colorful letters!!

For those who just want to send a letter without the lines, just print my attachment and put it under the paper where you are going to write the mail. Don't write on this sheet. It is only there to give you the lines while you write the letter. Later you remove the sheet and your letter looks fine, like you did use lines .
Has anyone ever heard of a program that can make stationary and your personal picture be in the background. Its light enough so that you can still write your letter of course over it of course. A friend of mine was telling me about it, however she wasn't sure the name of the program. I was thinking of doing that and just switching out the picture for everytime I write him.
