Yes i am familar with the SAR (sentencing assesment report). There is a website where you can read alot of info about it, you can also use the automated part of the site and it will give you what your score would be. Defendants are scored based on their past criminal history, past prison terms, age, employment. The report includeds 3 possible sentences for the judge to go by. Not all judges go with what the SAR reccomends but most stay pretty close. The probation officer who does the report will have you come in for a interview. They will ask a bunch of questions and fill the report out. Usually the report has to be done and sent back to the judge in about 30 days.
