Hey everone, I'm new to this site! I sent my first letter a week ago to a guy at Pontiac Correctional Center thats on death row. does anyone know any thing about death row there? (things you can/cannot send?)
I got told from the place I got his name that DR inmates may have trouble sending mail to the UK (which is where I'm from) so how can I send US stamps to him so he can post his letters.
I did ask him about the stamps thing but I am waiting for his letter. I'm just worrying that I wont receive them for a couple of weeks. but hopefully it wont be the case.
Hi and welcome Jaseyrae! The best thing would be to check on the State forum because there's usually a thread somewhere there with info on what you can/can't send. The states that my friends are in don't allow stamps to be sent, but you can transfer money to your friend's account by J-pay which is very quick and reliable - just do a google search and you'll find the site.
Hope you and your friend have a long and happy friendship.

Hi and welcome. Stoneite is right the best way to find out what he is allowed is to check the state forum or even look on the doc site. I find it easier to put money on my pen pals accounts than try and get US stamps over here. Good luck with your friendship.
