My boyfriend has made parole but, has no family around here. They did a home visit and denied my home. I would assume it's because we got in trouble togeather an I'm in drug court with pending felonies. He has told me that he has to put in a new address or they will cancel his approval. He also said the chaplen said if he had 500.00 dollars on his books an proof of a job waiting on him he could be realeased with out a a home plan. Is this true or does he have to have a address? An How long before they will denie his parole if he does not have a address? If the judge approves him living with me would that help him to parole to my home? I have searched everywhere for answers please help me with any info.
Sincerly, Kristal
I just wanted to welcome you to PTO! what prison is your man at if you don't mind? you should check in the Oklahoma forum also. I haven't experience the parole thing yet but several have in OK and may have more answers for you.
If you were co-defendants, then that could easily be why the plan got shot down. That sort of thing is typically frowned upon, regardless of the situation. If the sentencing Judge approves it, then they will need to issue something in writing and that will have to be provided to the Officer. I've never heard of someone being paroled out under the circumstances you state when they don't have an approved home plan, but it could be a state specific thing. Does he have family that he could release to? Or maybe a halfway house?
