Cool Vonage- Special Offer

I saw a commircial on TV Just now. Unlimited Local and Long Distance for $14.99. That's $10.00 less then what I pay now. They can also give you a local number to the where your loved one is. Check it out.

I had vonage before for my house phone and i loved it they just fuck you over when you cancel your phone because they charge you almost $300 to cancel it. And somehow when I ordered my phone the guy i spoke to on the phone sent me two different phones and charged me for two different phones.. when i wanted one and they refused to take it back because they said I wanted both

That's crazy! I have had nothing but wonderful experiences with them. I have needed an area code different then mine for about 4 years. I have researched every other company that offers this service that I have come across, and none of them seem to compare to vonage. I am sorry you had such a bad experience.

I loved vonage when I was using the phone but after that they just screwed me over.. They even told me that to get a refund on the 2nd phone that I never wanted and never used I would have to write a a page letter explaining everything and have to fax them all this other stuff and then they will do an investigation on why I got it and who knows how long that will take and then the end result could still be I would have to pay the fee

I think Vonage uses a lot of outsourcing to India maybe, I don't know. I have had issues with them with the language barrier sometimes. Its frustrating, while I'm tolerant of other people, cultures, languages, etc., my tolerance is non-existent when I am trying to handling my accounts and finances and I can't understand what the person is saying because of a serious language barrier.

I thought they charged 30 to cancel. I never heard of $300.

That depends on the facility. Even with in NJDOC it just depends on the facility. I have had a local number to where my man is for the last 18 months. At one point we changed the number, they approved the second one too. You just gotta do the research.

collect calls are not allowed, but a prepaid account works great. Also the phone cards work well.

Hi Y'all,
Good info here. You're all troopers for dealing with the hoops and loops and provide good support.
Can anyone tell me specificially regarding the following: I'm in Phila., PA. My buddy is an inmate at Waymart SCI, PA. I've researched Vonage and could get a phone number close to Waymart. Would that work if he gets a phone card, any idea what his cost would be?

I just had an "Instant Message" meeting with a Vonage representative.
If I cancel the service within the trial 30 day period, there is no charge, just return the device.
If I cancel after the 30 trial period, there is a $39.98 charge for "termination."
I can live with that.

LOL This is sooo true I spoke to a black guy when I connected the service and a hispanic female when I had trouble to correct the problem because the original representative I could not understand and he could not understand my problem I had to kept repeating myself and I do not like that.
