Default New 2 PT & Not Happy

First of all, I want to say HI!
Second, despite how you take my post, I'm really not a bad person.
Third, please don't criticise me, I'm just trying to find a solution with out hurting feelings.
So here it goes...

I have a family member, John, that was serving time in MS for 2 counts of felony DUI and he was released in Dec. 09 after about 18 months.
He wants to visit me and my family. I don't want him too, but I didn't want to hurt his feelings and say no, so I told him that I didn't want him to get into trouble with his PO. (He lives in MS and I'm out of state.) Apparently, the guy is "really cool" so he sees no problem. So then I made up a ton of stuff that I had going on, but that too, didn't work.
I'm really glad that he was able to get out and is staying dry, but I'm not comfortable with the situation. Is there anyway, besides asking, to find out who his PO is so that I can voice my concerns and maybe have his request denied?
BTW he didn't call and ask, he put his son Bill up to it.

Is there any chance of you just being honest, and just saying, "I'm happy that you were able to get out, and happier still that you're staying dry, but I'm really not comfortable with you visiting," as opposed to making things up, or contacting a PO that might not be *really cool* after you contacting him?

That beating around the bush gets on my nerves..I would much rather some one tell me the truth..And if you don't like him enough to let him visit, why the cloak and dagger treatment??Maybe he won't try to contact you anymore.

Personally, I would just come straight out and tell him how you feel. He may be a little hurt but I'm sure he will understand.
