Hi Becky,

Since you had some specific visitation questions for Corcoran, I have moved this thread to the California forum on PTO so your post will have the opportunity to get more specific responses and the best answers to your questions, and won’t get lost in the busy Visitation forum... I’ve found they often get more and better answers there, AND the information will be here to help others in the future, too.

You also might want to thumb thru the California forum to see if some of your questions have already been answered in the past... the direct link to the forum is here:

Hope you find the info you're looking for and good luck!

Lys

Processing the visiting form takes weeks. They have to run you through NCIC and all that. CSATF runs a very tight ship, so I wouldn't even waste my time if I were you.
I saw someone show up and try to do that once, but they just told him no.

First your inmate needs to send you the form (which it sounds like he did), then after you submit it to the visitor processing center and are approved for visiting (taking weeks), then they will notify your inmate and he will tell you that you are approved. Once you are approved you can call the prison and ask if you need an appoinment or anything and make sure that he is not working that day. They can't have visits when they are working.

As for the marriage app thing, I don't know anything about how that works, sorry.

Here is a link on California inmate marriage. It's all very helpful. In this link you will find the CA. inmate marriage policy (post #10). To answer your question here he needs to get the paperwork and send it to you.
