My man saw the board the last week of september and got his decision back today. He got a 12 month flop. I need to know everything that I can do to get him out close to his ERD (april 27th 2010). PLEASE help with anything that I can do, anyone that I can call, anything!!! Please! His MAX is Jan. 2012... why would they flop him? Please help!
I am so sorry. The main thing they have been flopped for is incomplete classes, other than that, I don't know. We're still over 5 years away so I don't have much to offer ~ hopefully someone else who's been there can help you. You'll be in my prayers.

Brandi, Breathe!!!!! First off, Does he have an tickets? Has he not completed a class? Has he had any trouble while inside?
They are doing early call backs so he may get called back before the 12 months is over. Right now all he can do is behave himself and make sure all his required classes are done. Nobody really knows why the Parole Board does what it does.

He has 6 majors, hasnt been into AOP yet. Other than that it says that if he were to get out he would be a " menace to society" because of his past record of little things like MIP's. Do you know if he can get called back before 6 months or 12 months? or does he have to wait at least 6 ? His ERD is april 27th 2010. Can I do anything ?
I am knew to this. My fiancee went in two weeks ago. Can they see the parole board that early before their ERD? You said his ERD is in April but saw parole board in late september?

Both the 6 majors and the AOP is the obvious reason. He's going to have to do the full 12 months would be my guess with NO new tickets at all to prove he has changed. Hopefully he can get into the class soon and can learn to control himself so he can avoid future tickets. Sorry brandi, but it really doesn't look good and I don't think there's a thing you can do...HE needs to take control, keep to himself and avoid anything and everything...basically turn over a new leaf these next 12 months. I don't think it's the little MIP's that's keeping him in there; it's his tickets~they are proof that he can't control himself.
My prayers are still with you girl!

He's not getting out without AOP. It just doesn't happen. Lots of guys pass their ERD for not being done with that. He must kite and kite and kite for it.
If he continues to get majors I will be shocked if they don't MAX him. Only he can decide how badly he wants out and if he wants out he must follow the rules no matter how stupid he may think they are.

My husband used to be one who got tickets alot. It took him 3 flops to figure out that if he doesnt get tickets he has a better chance of coming home.I'm not making excuses for him by any means but he was 17 when he went to prison and very stubborn. He went to the Michigan Youth Corr Fac. where they told him that tickets there wouldn't count when he was transfered to an adult prison. Guess what? They lied and every ticket he got there carried over. He's 27 now and he got parole back in June. Mr.Condino asked my husband if he thought if he wouldn't have gotten all the tickets he did, if he thinks he would've been home a long time ago. The answer was "yes" and Mr Condino agreed. Tickets don't help their parole guideline score and they look at all majors and what they were for. Tell him to stay ticket free and like MomTo5 said tell him to keep kiting about AOP and find out where he is on the list. Also there's a rumor that AOP might be changing to where they can do part of it when they get parole.
KBP: The AOP assesment should happen within the first few months after they go in. How long has he been down? Were there any injuries as a result of his DUI charges?

He might be at the reception center. He thought he was going to be transferred yesterday. I am not sure if he was. I don't think it said it in his psi and he did not hurt anyone just got pulled over.
Also, does anyone know if the cbs phone thing can make my cell phone accept collect calls. Right now it can not???? Sorry for all the questions just overwhelmed and miss him so much. It has only been 2 weeks since sentencing.
