Default Parole after completion of TC Class

My fiance received his green sheet and it said parole to approved home plan after completion of the short term TC program- He has been enrolled in the class for a couple weeks now, with an estimated graduation date of 1/30/10. My question is if anyone knows how long after they complete the class does it take to have him released. I know how slow Pennsylvania is about EVERYTHING- But I cant help but be hopeful that this will all be over soon. Any help is appreciated

I talk to a mother on here who's son was in with my son, they completed the TC program together, her son was released 2 days after completion.

I would ask: Is the home plan approved?

Also, I think the 2-day release was the exception, not the rule. Please allow a few weeks, so that you aren't disappointed.

Yes, his home plan was approved. I am prepared for it to take a while after he is done the class to be released. I am just getting anxious about getting some kind of news :-)

He'll get a release date; he won't be told to just "leave" one morning.

Also, state prisons release Monday thru Thursday if parole is involved.

Believe it or not, when it comes to release, they tell the inmate at least one full business day in advance!

My brother went through the short term TC program, i believe it was 4 months, not including pre TC waiting to get into the actual program. He was in for DUI;s, at Waymart, they say Waymart is the slowest of slowest and it was, about 3 or 4 weeks after he completed the program he was released. They told him 2 days before it was time for him to leave. When that happens in your case, he will get a phone call for a ride. Make sure you remember to bring him cloths. Hopefully hes not a waymart, i have heard other prisons are much faster

You needn't bring clothes. They will issue him "release clothing." It's not fashionable, but it works enough to get home in. If you bring stuff, he'll be changing in the car or a public restroom somewhere ...

Thanks for the response. My guy is in Laurel Highlands, so hopefully they are quick with things- although you never ever know with PA!

Bobble- Is that always the case with release clothes? I have been at LH when someone was being released, and they asked the person picking him up, if they had his clothes to change into before he left.

LH may allow clothes to come in at the last moment. Most prisons want them WEEKS in advance, shipped via US mail or UPS. I've sent clothing twice. When I bring it with me, the inmate ends up changing in the van.
