Default Clothing banks etc.

Hey Ladies (and Gents)!!

I know it's been a while <3 and I miss you guys!!! My pregnancy is cruising along....and actually, that's why I dropped in. It's A BOY!!! I was hoping that someone had some 'direction' for me in regards to baby clothes. Spokane used to have clothing banks and stuff, but I can't seem to find them in the Everett or other local areas. Any ideas?!

I've been keeping an eye on CL and Freecycle, with no luck.

Yeh, heads up on the craigslist thing. Remember, that one psycho (sorry, I know PTO is a support site), that was on craigslist "stalking" pregnant women, offering clothes, ............ Just saying, be careful there. Keep checking yard sales. Lots of them, on the second day or so, towards the end of the yard sale, have great big discounts and give aways. I have gotten lots of neat things (not baby stuff as I wasn't looking for that), that way. Good luck. Best wishes on the pregnancy. I'd rather raise boys any day.

There is a baby stuff store on Bev Ed Blvd (S. Colby) at the intersection to go to Casino and the high school, maybe it's Casino Rd but not sure. Anyway it looks like a good place to check out.
Value Village has a lot of stuff too (Evergreen Way & Pecks Dr).
Better yet lets have a Baby GTG where the girls can bring stuff for you....

Excellent idea Phil.

I live in a 55 unit condo building and my neighbors all give me nice stuff to donate or give to new homes. There is a family with a boy (almost a year?) that always gives a lot of very nice stuff. Now that I know you have a son, I can hang on to that for you. When I get the next batch, I will PM you and we can make arrangements. Or

I'll just bring it to the Baby G2G, should that be arranged.

I would suggest that you contact JustSteph and see if she can make it to the GTG on Sat....
otherwise one of us can pick it up for her.

Oh, I don't have anything at the moment, but a of bags show up every couple of months so there should be something soon. When I have something specific, I will definitely contact her... Maybe she would like a ride to the GTG anyway.. I'll contact her about coming.....

In my town, there is something called First Steps. They are a support group for mom, and I know that they have free baby clothing and also equipment for new moms. I believe that they may be all over the state. Contact them, they will set you up. Or call your DSHS office, and ask them of any support contacts for new moms. Also I believe most hospitals have a new moms follow up. Can't remember the name of that, but if you called any OB ward they would know. Don't worry girl....that baby won't go without, we won't allow it! There's always help!

I just wanted to post a little note and tell each of you THANK YOU!!

I managed to get some things together with the help of a few very nice ladies. (at least what I will need for the first 6 months clothing wise, but then we are moving two states away, so anything beyond that is just more packing for me. BLAH!)

We are just waiting for the baby to arrive now. My last ultrasound was at 33 weeks. I have another next week (36 weeks) to check his size again. At this point, if they let me go to fullterm, rather than doing my 39week elective induction based on my history, he could possibly weigh in the 10lb range. Which is scary since my just shy of 9lb baby got stuck.

As always, I love and miss you!! <3
