Default Phone List Question

When a prisoner is incarcerated in FL, they fill out the forms for their phone list. According to the information pages on the FL web pages regarding prison rules, an inmate can only update that list twice a year. If the prisoner is new, is that accurate? I didn't have aphone for him to call when he was incarcerated but now I do. Will they let him add me? Please don't tell me to call the facility, no one ever answers after you get transferred to the counselor and there's no answering machine. I need an answer from someone who might know. THANK YOU!

It is true they can only add to their phone lists in Florida twice a year. If you write to your guy and tell him you now have a phone that he can call you on. I know he will know when phone numbers can be added to his list.

It's almost every six months, like Feb. and then Sept.
At his last C.I. the Property Sgt. handled the phone list.

If you move or obtain a new phone and can prove it (with a bill or something) the inmate can submitt a request to have your number added. Unfortunately this is the only way it can be done. If he/she submitted a request with no response I suggest they submitt another one and give it a week or two and then move up the chain of command stating they did not receive a response to their request. Updating a phone list can be done but it is at the disgression of the classification officer which leaves a lot of room for a yes or no and no consistancy
