Default I need a question answered about time reduction

My man was sentenced to 14 years federal time n a drug charge. His time ran concurrent so he only has to serve 11. Does fedeal prison have parole or will he serve the entire 11 years? Is there anything we can do to get tht time reduced?

From my experience, there are a few ways to get a possible reduction in the sentence. Of course, not knowing your whole situation, I don't know if these will apply to you. But look up Rule 35 under the Federal Rules of Criminal Procedure, and also see if you can find anything on something called a 5K and a Safety Valve . I think they all have something to do with reduction in sentence if the defendant cooperates and assists the government. And with drug charges, your situation may apply. Good luck!

Did he receive 14 years or 11 years federal time? Are you saying that he will only server 11 on a 14 because of the 85% serve time, or something different?

Yes, in your case since parole is an option for federal prisoners you can appeal though. But I think you would need a good lawyer for that. Hope everything works out for you

AT THIS POINT, FEDERAL HAS NO PAROLE, BUT, THEY ARE WORKING ON GETTING THAT CHANGED (OUR LEGISLATORS)

IF HE CANNOT GET OUT ON PAROLE, WE WILL SERVE 11 YEARS.
BUT, YOU NEED TO DO ALL APPEALS THAT YOU CAN..

Hey all. I just went through a federal mess with a friend, and am about to with my boyfriend. sentencing march 18th. my friend had manufacturing and distributing charges, no priors. He wasn't allowed the safety valve, because he didn't cooperate with the DEA from the beginning. He got 2 + 4. 2 years time, 4 years parole. he was told he could reduce his sentence by 1 year, if he enrolled in a in prison drug program.
my boyfriend's psr says he got the safety valve. he's charged with manufacturing under 200, but over 100 marijuana plants. we're hoping for boot camp.
