Question What are Detainer/Warrants?

I checked out the ADOC site for any updates on his profile and I see the category:
Detainer/Warrants.

Underneath it says his:
Detainer Type is NR
Authority is MARICOPA ADULT PROB

It says nothing for his Agreement Date & Cancel Date.

Can anyone tell me what this all means?

NR is Notification of Release.
This just means that the Maricopa Adult Probation department wants to be notified when he is released. It will be canceled when they are notified....

The court probably ordered him to do probation after he is released...

My man has the same thing but its for the clerk of the court... Does this mean that they will take him back into custody when he gets out or they just want to be notified of his release?

I had another friend tell me that it means they want to be notified when he is released so they can take him back to jail for more charges.... how can they take him back to jail for something he is already serving time for? Im really confused... can some please help? Under the detainer/warrant section is says type is NR, it was issued a month and a half after he went in this time, the case is the one he is in prison for now, the agreement and cancel date are blank... someone please help. Im really worried about this.

Ok Ladies this is directly from the DOC's website
"NR" - Notification of Release Request - For notification purposes only. This action does not prevent the inmate from being released from Department custody. Notification requests are normally placed for probation obligations, child support services, restitution obligations, misdemeanor convictions, concurrent convictions or supervision purposes. If any agency requests a "Hold," along with the NR, be placed on the inmate, the action shall be entered as a MISD.

As you saw on the DOC website the NR is a Notification of Release and then the agency that is notified is different for each person. Like my husbands says Maricopa County Probation, that is because he has a probation term after his sentence is up. Clerk of Court could be because of fines he has to pay as well... most everyone has a detainer of some sort and it is because most inmates have parole or probation to do.
