Inmate transfers

My soon to be HUSBAND has been in his permenent facility for 6 months. His classification officer told him that he had to be in ihis permanent facility for 18 months before he could be considered for a transfer. I went online and found a section on there site saying only 12 months. I printed it out and sent it to my baby. He showed his classification officer and they told him that it was wrong. Is this true and if not how do I go about getting him transfered sooner?:argh

My man also told me it was also only 12 months. You may want to call and speak with his Classification Officer and ask when the change was made, since Chapter 33 still states "12 months" and of course, a free and clean record. Good luck!

Good luck on the transfer. James is at Gulf and even though during orientation at NFRC they were told that they would be able to put in a request for a transfer after one year of at the permanant camp and with a clean record. Gulf told him that they could put in requests all they want its only a request. But then GULF has its own set of rules we are finding out. He has even been issued 2 bogus DR's so far. So I do hope you get your transfer. I'm starting to get scared that James will spend the 12 years in quit possibly the worst prison the state has.

My son was able to put in a transfer after 1 yr also. You need perfect behavior also with no dr's for the yr also. Took my son almost 2 yrs to get the transfer though and we couldnt figure out why till i finally got an answer after many months of calling classification and someone slipped and told me. My son due to his medical problmes went to lake Butler medical every 3 months .Well everytime he went there they considered that a move and would drop his transfer and restart it when he returned. So for a whole yr he was on the transfer list then off then on then off. When we realized what was going on he refused medical and got his transfer in 3 months. Of course they wouldnt tell him everyitime he went to medical it canceleed his transfer..A**holes
