For anyone who may be or has already been denied the right to marry a prisoner... The Appellate Division of the Superior Court of NJ decided in the favor of the prisoner's right to marry in a case decided on Feb. 14, 2002 [interesting date, don't you think?!!!].
If you are interested in getting a copy of the case go to: http://lawlibaray.rutgers.edu/courts...8-00.opn.html. The parties names: Judith Vazquez, appellant, v. New Jersey Department of Corrections; case #: A-1498-00T5. The court's opinion includes citing of other similar and/or related court decisions. Ms. Vazquez, filed this pro se, after being denied the right to marry by the prison's administrator!
Hope this helps anyone who has been or is currently, in a similar situation.

Egs, thank you for your timely info, (as always), to those of us involved with Jersey prisons. I am in the process of waiting for a decision for Rahway regarding getting married Hope I don't need the info!
Thanks. ('')
