Default What does "Jail Backlog" mean?

Joe found his way back to prison for another two years. It appears that he was transferred from the jail to prison yesterday. The inmate locator online already shows him moved BUT in the facility name is says "Jail Backlog" - what the hell does this mean?

Welcome back to PTO but I'm sorry it's under these circumstances. I can't answer your question but I'm sure if you post it in the Colorado forum Cindy will be able to give you the information you need.

I think it just means what it says... they have a backlog and will get his info there as soon as they can (I think)

It means that he has been transferred to DOC custody and the jail is now being paid by DOC to hold him until he is transferred to DRDC. They go into jail backlog within a day or two of getting sentenced. I would think since it's been a week since you posted that he's at DRDC now.

Default Jail Backlog

Hello, My husband was just sentenced while in county jail. I don't see him as an inmate any more in the county jail, so know that he has been moved to DRDC as of this morning. When I do an inmate search on the doc.state.co.us site I see him there and it doesn't have his photo or release date or anything yet, just says jail backlog.. so i believe that means he is in DRDC getting evaluated ie; jail backlog until they figure out which prison to put him in.. ?
