Unhappy Do FL inmates get mail in lock up?

Does anyone know if inmates in disciplinary confinement are allowed to get mail or write letters out? I have no other way to contact him and I don't know if they'll let me write him in the hole. I don't want to get him in more trouble than he's already in.

Thanks!!!

Yep !!! They can both get and send mail. BUT, when they are sent to D/C, they don't always have their personal belongings with them for 1 or 2 days. So don't panic if you don't get mail, maybe he doesn't have his paper envelopes stamps etc with him by now.

Phil is right they can send and receive mail in DC. Marty has been in DC and DR a couple of times. It does take them a few days to get everything settled in. Plus it takes time for your mail to get to him. Espically if your don't know his new cell number. But it will all eventally get to him. I know this is hard but try to be patient.

James was able to wright me. It takes a little while for him to get his mail from me cause when he was in DC I didn't have his new housing assingment yet. He won't have all of his property with him either. He'll be allowed to buy paper and stamps, and envelopes but not too much else. I sent James paper and stamped envelopes this last time. Not being able to talk to him and we missed a visit that was the worst. Hang in there, it will get better. I got some pretty incredible letters when James was in DC cause he had nothing else to do!!!!

I wrote my James everyday while he was in the hole. Sometimes I didn't write anything, I just wrote in big words I LOVE YOU and sent stuff off the computer. Yvonne
