Default Phone call terminated???

I was talking to my man tonight and he went to the bathroom and while he was gone one of his "buddies" picked up the phone and started talking to me, I said a few things and then it said "this call has been terminated" normally it says "you have 60 seconds left on this call" So anyone know what this means? Will my boyfriend not be able to call me again? I wouldnt be able to handle that.

I have never had that happen before and we have talked thousands of times. I've spoke to some of his friends on the phone and nothing like that ever happened. Usually it's the 60 seconds and then a 15 second warning. Hopefully, someone will come along soon and will be able to answer that for you. I would be interedted in knowing too. Just so if that ever happens I will understand why.

My man is in Wyoming Correctional Facility, I just thought that it was odd that it just said "this call has been terminated" without a warning or anything, and it happend after his "buddy" got on the phone. Im hoping that nothing happens to him or to our phone calls. His parents are driving 6 hrs to come to Ny so they can stay here tomorrow and go see him on Christmas.

is it possible that one of the phone monitors disconnected the call?
Possibly because you would not have been one of his approved calling numbers.

Once my phone call was terminated as well. It was due to the fact that the yard was closing and therefore they shut down the phones. Do not think the worst. It will be okay,

Hi sweet pea,

That happened to me just 2 days ago and my man said the guard told him it was terminated because they were screening our call and they heard us talking about sex. He said the guard thought he wa sgoing to start handling his business or something so they terminated the call. So basically I think they terminate the call when something is being said that's derogatory in their views. Hope this helps.

I had a call terminated because they heard another voice on the phone....so they thought it was a three way call. what it was was my son picked up the phone in the other room....being a typical teenager........so don't think the worst...

Well, just so people dont have to keep replying, I talked to my guy about this, he said some of the phones are different and he was in the yard that night and the yard was closing also. He said he cant get in trouble for someone else talking on the phone as long as Im not calling someone else for him to talk to (3 way calling). Anyone know the rules and reg's on that? Im sure each facility is different. I already told my guy not to be letting other ppl talk while he calls me cause I dont want anything happening to our calls and he said they wont do anything. i'd rather be safe then sorry. Thanks to all who had responded I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas (or the best that they could have)

It is strictly no three way calling or answering any incoming phone calls from call waiting.

No 3 way calling allowed. If your fiance' is calling someone and then having them call his mother and they are listening to his calls and hear that, he could be put in the box for it and his phone priveladges could get taken away. I knew that, thats why I was freaking out when someone else got on the phone and started talking to me and then all of the sudden my call was terminated.

Sometimes I do 3-ways to call his father and mother, because they have blocks on their phones, they can't afford the calls, but everytime I do it I'm scared. I know he will insist that I do it again, but I can't. I don't want to be living on the edge so to speak, because in a way that's what it is, you live on borrowed time until you are caught. Why?? That's the very reason he's in there!
Even though he needs to speak to his father who's very old, I still don't want to face the consequences (no phone calls and him in the box, no way!!). Like you said sweet-pea, I'd better be safe tham sorry.

Mamota, your right its better to be safe than sorry. They cant listen to every single call that is made, but you never know when your call will be the one they decide to listen to, I know they record every phone call. My man had me do a 3 way call for another inmate one time because the kid was in there where he was and had been transfered and had no way of getting ahold of his family because they also had a block so I figured id be nice and do it. After that the kid thought id do it whenever he wanted. I told my guy not to be a b****, but tell the kid I said no way its my bill hes running up and taking my time away from talking to you. I also 3 way'd my parents once so my guy could talk to them, then I 3 way'd my sister so my guy could talk to my 3 yr old nephew who was always asking where his uncle is(my man). Then after I did those 3 way calls my man called me and told me no 3-way whatsoever that they just put a guy in his dorm in the box for that. So I was all paranoid and worried that I was going to get him in trouble for something I did. He told me not to worry about it, if it happens its his fault he should have read his rule book. I dont know the rules and regulations for the things that they can and can not do, so that night when somoene else was talking to me and it said your call has been terminated I was freaking out, but my guy told me not to worry because all the phones are different. Thanks to everyone who replied to this and eased my mind a little, and hopefully certain people will also get some useful information out of it.
