Lightbulb How to use 3-way when loved one's call you

Hey everyone~
Just thought I'd share a little secret that works for me when my man calls me and we make 3 way calls. When you are about to make the 3 way and click over the other person has to blow into the receiver until you click back to them. It has always worked for me. I guess by them blowing into the phone you can't hear me clicking over! Hope this works for others having problems~

Monika--I don't want to dampen your enthusiasm, however, my husband was very emphatic about not answering call waiting when we are on the phone or attempting any 3-way calling. He said that was a huge faux pas. I may be overly cautious, but I don't want to do anything that would cause an issue for my husband. I also don't want to lose any phone or visiting privileges--they are too precious.

Just my thoughts....

Take care and welcome to PTO

I've received call from Vic on a three way to my cell phone when I'm not home. I too, am somewhat leary, because I know what the rules are and I don't want to lose my phone contact from him.

When I talked with someone I know in Corrections about this, he told me that it goes on all the time and usually they can get away with it, depending on how intricate the phone systems is with that facility.

Monika, I'm not quite sure if the 'blowing' has anything to do with you getting away with the three way. If the phone system is built to track the calls in a certain way, they will be able to 'read' when another connection is made on the call. But heck, whatever works, just be careful!!

Why would the prisons or jails get mad because they are doing a 3 way? It's really non of there damn buisness the rates are too high anyway. So as high as the rates are the inmates should be able to talk to a whole country if they want to. My husband calls me 3 way with his grandma or my friend and the guards know and don't care as long as they shutup. I know that I'd raise some kinda hell if I lost my rights to visits or calls because of that!

my new "thing" is just to follow the rules. period. no discussion. they frustrate the hell out of me, but if something happened...i would beg them to let me follow the rules again.

plus, i'm so crazy about lee following the rules when he gets out...i have to set a good example

love to all!

Robert and I thought that we wouldn't get into trouble for him calling me. (I am not immediate family, so no calls were allowed to me)He put me on his phone list as his mom. Well, even though it says on the phone that the calls are recorded, I didn't think they actually listened to them. (After all, there are so many people making calls) Well, I was completely wrong. They wrote him up and he sent me a copy of it. It said that he had referred to me, "the female caller" as "pumkin" and "pookie" and these are terms not normally applied to one's mother. It seemed like we were getting away with it cuz we hadn't had a problem for almost 4 months. Well, they took away his phone previleges for 30 days. As stupid as that seems to me, I mean, I am paying for him to call, I am not doing ANYTHING that could screw things up for him again. If they don't know now, chances are good that they will find out. Just please becareful!

California is really pissy about it, they'll take phone privelages away from someone for using "specialized phone features" like 3-way. I went ahead and got a 2nd line installed with NO features so that my friend could call. Or course as soon as I had it installed he went on Lockdown...go figure. Anywho...I really wouldn't chance it...it would suck if he got his calls taken because of 3 way

I agree with everyone else, just be careful!!! Last Christmas I 3-way'd to my husband's sisters house so he could talk to his nieces & nephews. We had been 3-waying calls for a while with no problem. Well they put him on locc-down for 30 days & charged him a $50-00 fine for using custom calling features.
Which is alot to me considering what they make in there, and my husband does not work so guess who ends up paying the fine. ME!! I just wanted you to know that there are some risks.
