Corcoran SHU mail delays

Is anybody having problems with mail at Corcoran (SHU)? I send letters to my fiance everyday. He's only received ONE (out of 15) letter of mine in over 2 weeks -and- I haven't gotten mail from him in 5 days!! I know the mail system is extremely slow, but this is ridiculous and bordering on cruel and unusual punishment...for him and me!

This is considered the "Norm" for all California Institution during the holidays. Keep in mind that there are over 3500 inmates in an institution, and probably only 10 people sorting and scanning mail everyday. It has to be picked up, sorted by building and then scanned for content. SHU mail is scanned-read throughly for content. Ive heard Pelican Bay mail is taking 4-5 weeks, and Old Folsom is taking 4 weeks from date of post mark to delivery.

That's absolutely ridiculous. They need to hire more mailroom staff. That's like isolating some people from outside contact altogether if they're not able to call home.

YOU KNOW WHAT MY LOVED ONE IS IN CORCORAN STATE PRISON S.A.T.F AND I WROTE FOUR LETTERS ALREADY AND I HAVENT RECEIVED NONE FOR ALMOST TWO WEEKS. I USE TO GET A LETTER EVERY WEEK OR TWO A WEEK AND NOW ITS DOWN TO 0 . SO DONT FEEL LEFT OUT I KNOW WHAT YOUR GOING THROUGH IS THERE ANYTHING WE CAN DO FOR THEM TO SEND OUR LETTERS OR THEIR LETTERS ANY FASTER????

Good Question: The only think that I can think of is send a letter every single day, or send post cards !

SEE EVERYTHING IS WEIRD WE KEEP SENDING HIM LETTERS ME AND HIS MOTHER AND HIS SISTER AND HE WOULD ALWAYS WRITE BACK BUT SEE WE ARE GETTING WORRIED WE ARE THINKING THAT SOMETHING HAPPENED TO HIM WE ARE SO WORRIED
