Default I'm new to all this and how it works... ~ Harris County Jail

My bf just went into harris county 5 days ago, and I don't know how to address his mail. I know his info, but could someone let me know what JA09/2F1 03F means? Does that tell me which jail he's in?

Hi there. I tried to post an answer but it wouldn't let me because I had links in it. I sent you a private message instead. Let me know if you need any more help.

You probably got your answer already but incase not you can look up his exact jail on the harris county sherriff website with his SPN.
I'm almost positive the JAO9 is 1200 so you'd address it:

First Name Last name (exactly the way he was booked in)
SPN#_____________ 2F1
1200 Baker St.
Houston Tx 77002

The JA09 refers to the jail he's in. 2F1 means he's on the second floor, F pod, side 1 & the 03F is the bunk he's assigned to.

I hope that helps & I hope he gets out soon.

manda - here are some links that will help you. It's FYI as he's now left county....

The online inmate locator - please don't expect it to show his location immediately - I would give it about 24 hours.

Be prepared for your visitation -

I know it can be unnerving until you know where he is but he'll be in transit for a bit so try to be patient.

Unfortunately I'm too familiar with that JA09 too!

They assign you to a bunk now? Well, that's a step in the right direction. Back in the day, you had to fight with all the other animals and it could be a free-for-all, especially if your tank had a majority of other races in it.
