Thanks a million for replying.
My husband is serving a 10 year sentence for production of child pornography. He took some pictures while in Europe he shouldn't have and was arrested when he arrived back in the U.S. No alcohol or drug use involved.
He is supposed to be released in June 2010, but his PO called me on Friday about his being sent to the HWH in Norfolk in January 2010 or even December 2009, I was surprised she called so early.
My husband has heard horror stories about HWH and is relucatant to take the HWH placement. I, of course, would like him to go to the HWH to reintegrate into society, with all its changes since 2001, as well as for us to re-engage.
I'm looking for a general sense of what Norfolk's HWH is like. Idea of rules, etc. He's college educated and in his early 60s, if that helps any. Anything your friend might be able to tell me ...
I thank you both very much.
Norfolk halfway house is terrible, the food is bad, the staff is very un proffesional, They are only worried about keeping you there and not getting you out, If i had my druthers i would have done my time in prison, Not there but i also do not have a family to worry about, But i have asked for home confinement and they are dragging there feet
man fuck that place, I had 6 months to do there, and I didn't get home confinement, until month 4. And I had a job as soon as I got there. They don't help you for anything, and they are some of the stupidest people out there. They are petty as hell, and just a bad place to be. Oh well. Just try to get outta there ASAP!
