Default Couple of questions regarding Snake River Correctional Institution

I have a husband that is currently incarserated at Snake River Correctional Institution. We are not curently talking and I was wondering how I could find out who his councler is without asking him directally. And I was also wondering how do we find out if we are on their visiting lists without asking the inmate directally? Are there any links or websites that anyone can provide to help assist in this matter?

I would try calling SRCI directly for their counselor information. They will not tell you who is on their visiting list though.

LadyA....just a note since you said that you two are not speaking. Even if you do get a hold of his counselor he/she will probably not say anything to you. Is there specific info you are trying to find on him? You know, they can get lost in the system if they so chose to. You might start with a letter. I really wish you the best of luck.

It's the inmate who has to tell you if you are on his visiting list. You need to write and ask him. Is that what you wanted to know from the counselor? You said you want to file for divorce - are you attempting to gain information from the counselor in order to use it in the divorce and custody proceedings? Z.

No no not at all. Im not trying to be vindictive at all. I wanted to know if I would be able to see if I could even go up there and talk to him about it before he was just served with no explination. Thats all

The phone number to the prison is 1-541-881-5000 someone there can tell you who is counselor is.... you have one tough decision to make and going up there to tell him you are divorcing him if you havent talked in a while will be hard on him since he is in there.. have you written him at all? I wish you the best of luck because this is not easy for both of you... Im sure you have your reasons for moving on with your life and I wish you the best of luck on that..

I would advise you to write him a letter where he can read it in the privacy of his housing area and NOT tell him in the open visiting room for everyone to see his reaction!! And if he wants to process it by himself, he has to leave the visit early and stand around waiting to be let back into the prison area. Besides, he would have to put you on his visit list and, if you don't tell him why you want to visit, then he's gonna get his hopes up that it's some kind of positive thing. Just write him.
